Salmon Faverolles Juveniles & Adults

Sold Out - Back in stock soon! ♥

Intensely French and full of comedic drama, our BIG fluffy Faverolles are sure to delight both your sense of humor and egg basket! Year-round layers of medium-sized, peachy-pink eggs, Faverolles excel in keeping your kitchen stocked with eggs when your other hens have called it quits for the year.

Faverolles are our 2nd focus breed, and we have carefully selected our base stock from the finest show lines in the country. Our special blend of bloodlines include the North Woods Homestead line (which was professionally evaluated and culled by an APA Hall of Fame Grand Master Exhibitor, Judge and Breeder) and the beautiful Corva Bella Farm line (Boulanger, Merlin, Patterson, Cloverleaf, Bolder View and Knox programs). You can expect light colored females and LARGE males of excellent type and temperament. Of note (if you don’t already know this), Faverolles roosters are the most docile rooster of any chicken breed. And this has definitely been our experience with our own flock. Our Favy roos will protect their hens, but we have NEVER had one even as much as nip at us humans.

Be prepared for a LOT of drama though! Faverolles are hyper-reactive to pretty much everything, and will keep you well entertained with their antics. Their daily cabaret performances include scurrying to and fro, running in low circles (for no apparent reason), finding ridiculous places to hide their heads when they’re scared, and dramatic chicken opera. Omelets and a show anyone…?? ;o)

♥ Juvenile Chickens (Pullets and Cockerels) are 6 weeks to 24 weeks old. Your juvenile birdies are most likely a pre-order, so expect up to 10 weeks for your juveniles to be ready for pick-up or delivery.

♥ Adult Chickens (Hens and Roosters) are 24 weeks (about 6 months old) and older. If these birdies show as “In Stock”, it means they are available for pick-up or delivery now.

♥ It is extremely important that you track your bird shipment/s, and be prepared to pick them up as soon as they are available. Most bird shipments will be held at your local post office for pick up. We pack all of our birdies with high moisture “road snacks”, but due to shipping restrictions, they will need water immediately upon pickup (neglecting this detail may result in the death of your bird/s).
