The Ayam Cemani Chicken goes by many names; the Goth Chicken, all black chicken and the Lamborghini of Poultry to name a few. And where they’ve definitely earned their place as the most expensive chicken in the world, they have some wonderful practical qualities as well (Ayam Cemani are naturally resistant to aerial predators, they make great house chickens, and are actually very good egg layers).
Our exquisitely Indonesian look is the result of several years of selective breeding from 4, carefully sourced bloodlines. And NOW, we’ve just added 2 roosters and 4 chicks from the coveted “DNS” line! Widely regarding as the top Cemani bloodline in the United States, the DNS line exemplifies the Indonesian Standard of Perfection and offers a higher than usual percentage of “black tongue” offspring (both of which are extremely rare here in the U.S.). ♥ Your “Straight Run” Chicks will be any combination of males and females, and typically start to reveal their genders at about 4 to 5 weeks old.
♥ This is a pre-order! Please allow up to 16 weeks for delivery (our average is 5 weeks though). Our shipping time frames are greatly affected by the weather, and we will only ship your chicks when the temperatures are safe. We will contact you 1 week before we ship your chicks so you are ready for them ♥
♥ Please contact us immediately if you will not be available to receive your chicks at our estimated time of delivery! If mailed, your chicks will need food and water after being in the mail for 2 days and they can perish if not picked up from your post office upon arrival.
♥ Your chickies will be between 1 to 5 weeks old, depending on the timing of delivery.
♥ 3 Chick minimum to ship & 2 Chick minimum for local pick up! Feel free to mix and match!
♥ Sex “Verified” chicks are typically closer to 5 weeks old, and are offered as available.
